The Pursuit

Fishing has been a favourite past time of my family. Many people who share our love of attempting to catch a fish will always remember their first fish caught. This experience generally ignites the passion for this relaxing and rewarding past time.
The optimism and belief that every peice of water past by on travels could have fish in it spurs on the sense of adventure. Dad recounts many a fishing trip with his old boy where he as a young kid would his old boy "Dad do you think that river/lake/puddle has any fish in it?" To this day this question is frequently asked between the boys and will surely be asked many times more in future. It is this curiosity and subsequent fishing of new waters that can be very rewarding. Often there will not be any fish biting but occasionally a fish bites and bingo the question is answered!
The fly fishing arm to our fishing is only a recent addition but has definantely been a worthwhile one. We are still new to this style but our skills are improving.
The feel of a large fish fighting, jumping and dragging you up stream on a fly rod is fantastic especially if it is the fly you have created even better!
